Morning Drop-Offs
Students are to be in the classroom ready for instruction by 8:30 am. You may drop your child off at the cafeteria 8:00 where they may wait until 8:15 to be dismissed to the classroom or have breakfast. Due to security, time and the need to promote independence and responsibility, we ask that you refrain from coming to the classroom in the morning. If there is anything you would like to discuss with me, I’d be more than happy to set up a time during the day to meet with you. Just write a note in the agenda and I will call or email you at my planning time or I will respond to you in the agenda. Any visitor that is in the Rehoboth Elementary hallways will be expected to have a visitor pass with them at all times. You may retrieve this visitor’s pass in the office during the school day. Thank you for helping us keep our children safe.
After School Pickups 4:00 in auditorium
For students who ride the bus, we have a district wide school bus behavior matrix. The matrix outlines the consequences of different behaviors. You will be notified by the driver, principal or myself if your child is having any type of problem on the bus. You may contact the school if you know of any problems that we are not aware of as well.
A note is needed for any type of change in your child’s current routine after school. This is for safety reasons! Your child will need a note if you are picking them up after school instead of riding the bus. This note will then be forwarded to the office where the secretary will keep track of the walkers. Your child will then go to the auditorium to wait for you. If you are picking your child up early from the end of school, you will need to report to the office to sign them out. The secretary will call the classroom and tell me that you are here. I will be sure that they are packed and ready to go.
Students are not permitted to ride other buses. Students will need to be picked up after school if there is a special activity going on in which they will need special transportation, please don’t forget the note explaining this change in their routine.
Please remember, these rules and procedures are all for safety reasons! Thank you for your cooperation!
District Technology Policy (Home Technology at School)
Our district Code of Conduct does not allow electronic devices to be brought to school. Unfortunately, this would include but not limit to the cell phones, digital cameras, Kindle, Ipod, Ibook, Ipad, DS, etc.. Even though some of you realize that the responsibility for any damage would be yours not every one accepts that same responsibility. The liability, potential distractibility and lack of access to these devices for everyone keeps us from allowing personal devices to be brought to school. Thank you.
